Dance Party Decorations

Dance Party Decorations create an atmosphere to put your guests in the party theme mood.   At home parties can have some of the indoor decorating done the day prior to the event.  Set the table, layout the serving dishes, and arrange the party decorations before time limiting the work needed on the actual party day. No shopping should be done on party day.

Dance Decorations

Social dancing to graceful music was derived from the concept of dancing by a couple, usually a man and a lady, in a closed hand. Coming from the eighteenth and early nineteenth century, these dances gained popularity from the standard ballroom dances with diverse music, rhythms, tempos, and aesthetics.  Although all these aspects changed with the change in social attitudes, the one thing, which remained common throughout  history was couple dancing to music. Today a dance movement that has swept the world is break dancing to funky music.  The nature of the dance was that it was improvised, never learned, so upon seeing these films, American kids immediately began making up their own breakdancing moves in basements across America.  Michael Jackson's famous "moonwalk" and M.C.Hammer's pumped-up dance style are  improvised forms of breakdancing.  Elements of this dance are still present today, in rap music videos. Breakdancing brought new ideas into the world of social dance.  It indicated that full body-contact with the ground was ok, spinning and other moves were possible through careful manipulation of the body and fighting moves could be part of dancing.  Dancing is freer, more pumped-up and less controlled because of this. And so is the music that accompanies it. It is safe to assume that social and nightclub dancing throughout America since has never been the same.  No matter what type of Dance Music Party you are having... western, salsa, swing, disco, or breaking,  enjoy yourself.  Dance party supplies like paper plates, napkins, and cups are a nice way to complete a Dance Party Theme. Party decorations using Dance Party Themes like inflatable musical instruments as acenterpieces, can also double as party prizes. Party favors like Dance stickers, whistles, glow jewelry, feather boas, music cds, and dance videos fit a Dance Party Theme.
