Use a Batman theme to have a party to remember Holy Macanoli, get the batmobile from the batcave, it's time for a Batman party! One thing you are going to use time and again at your batman party is a bat drawing, so you might as well make it happen now. It is easy to find bat outlines online, so start there. You can open one in a photo editing program to make it larger or smaller. Once you have found one that is an appropriate size, use a white or silver gel pen to write all your invitation information on a bat cutout (including all pertinent information such as pick up and drop off times, and maps to help finding the 'batcave'.
A great idea for entertainment is a bat course, where all Batmen in training have a chance to learn motor skills necessary for all super heroes. Create tunnels, ladders (the plastic kiddies slides are good choices for this) running through inflated swim rings, for a final jump on a small runner's trampoline. Just be sure to have supervision for the activities, and strong steadying hands ready to reach out in cases of little stumbles.
Using a template made from one of the invitation bats you cut out, decorate a simple yellow cake with white frosting to which you have added a few drops of yellow food coloring. This may be melted and poured over the cake to create a smooth surface for decorating. Once the frosting is set, lightly lay the paper template over the cake, and sprinkle black glitter to 'draw' the bat onto the cake. Black piping may be used to write on your cake.
Balloons with the faces of Mr. Freeze, the Joker, Catwoman, the Riddler, and other batman villains should be blown up, a few pieces of wrapped candy should be inserted, so that when the music is on, guests can stomp the bad guy. When they burst a balloon, they get to keep the candy that was inside the balloon. The only condition is that when the music goes off, the players must freeze. The last person left in the game, wins a prize!
